Our Story
Character Lines was founded in 1996 by Eric Leon Jenkins with a significant message at its core:
“It’s about character, not color.”
The brand was created to challenge societal divisions and elevate the importance of integrity, respect, and personal values over skin color and appearance.
After Eric Leon Jenkins’ passing in 2001, Character Lines was passed to his son, Eric McKenzie Jenkins II. Now at age 27, 'Mack' carries forward his father's legacy, revitalizing the brand’s visual identity and introducing a modern vintage style -expanding its message for a new generation, proudly preserving the original motto that defines the movement:
“It’s About Character, Not Color.”
